Dr. Ciyata Dinah Coleman

Dr. Ciyata Dinah Coleman is a distinguished economist, senior analyst, and academic with extensive experience in public finance, international development, and economic research. Her career spans government service, academia, and global policy engagement, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing economic development and evidence-based policymaking.

She currently serves as a Senior Analyst with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she applies advanced economic analysis to tax administration, policy evaluation, and project management. Her work focuses on leveraging data-driven insights to strengthen public finance systems and improve institutional effectiveness.

Dr. Coleman has also contributed significantly to international development through her role as a Diplomacy Science Policy Fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), where she was assigned to the United States Agency for International Development. In this capacity, she worked extensively in developing countries, advancing programs and policies related to poverty reduction, education, and sustainable development. Her global engagement included participation in the International Institute for Educational Planning in Paris, France.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Coleman served as an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator in economics and business at the School of International Affairs and Development (SIAD) at Clark Atlanta University. In this role, she conducted research and seminars in international and development economics, supervised doctoral and master’s theses, and mentored students in preparing for impactful careers. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Her research focuses on international trade, export dynamics, and spatial economic growth, particularly within developing economies. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Research Methodology and African Studies and has reviewed scholarly work on African economies for the Journal of Global South Studies (formerly the Journal of Third World Studies).

Dr. Coleman is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Economic Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association of Global South Studies, and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). She also serves as a member of the College of Mentors with CODESRIA, where she advises Ph.D. students in economics from universities across Africa. She previously served as President of the Liberian Studies Association, demonstrating her leadership within the academic and diaspora communities.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Holy Family University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Phoenix. Her academic background has provided a solid foundation for her clinical practice and leadership roles within the healthcare system.

Throughout her career, Ms. James has served in various positions, including middle management roles in acute healthcare environments. In these capacities, she has contributed to improving patient care delivery, supporting clinical teams, and enhancing operational efficiency within healthcare organizations.

With extensive hands-on experience and leadership in nursing, Ms. James is recognized for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to advancing quality healthcare outcomes.

Mr. Alvin N. Tweh

Mr. Alvin Nahcheipor Tweh is an accomplished information technology professional, educator, and community leader with diverse experience spanning public service, international development, education, and faith-based leadership. His career reflects a strong commitment to service, technology advancement, and community empowerment across the United States and West Africa.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Network Technology from Collins College of Design and Technology in Phoenix, Arizona. He has also earned multiple certifications in Health Information Technology and Management (MCIT) from Gateway Community College. In addition, Mr. Tweh has completed graduate-level coursework in Cybersecurity at Grand Canyon University and has obtained several professional certifications in cybersecurity and information systems.

Mr. Tweh currently serves as a Computer Technical Analyst within the Division of Technology at the Arizona Department of Economic Security in Phoenix, Arizona, where he supports critical IT infrastructure and service delivery systems. His technical expertise includes network systems, cybersecurity, and health information systems.

In academia, Mr. Tweh has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the American Indian College in Phoenix, Arizona, where he contributed to student learning and development in technology-related disciplines. He has also worked as an Information Technology Coordinator for the Scottsdale Unified School District and as an Electronic Health Records (EHR) Educator and Trainer with Sedona Learning Solutions in Arizona, supporting the implementation and training of digital health systems.

He served as an Administrator with Africare International in Guiglo, Côte d’Ivoire, where he led and supported projects in agriculture and healthcare in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). A dedicated community leader, Mr. Tweh served as the second President of the Liberian Association in Arizona following its founding. He is also a founding member of the Liberian Association of Abidjan, where he served as a coordinator for one of the largest Liberian communities in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
